Surama Eco Lodge is a community-based business set up by the inhabitants of Surama village. It is located right at the border between the jungle and the savannah and overlooks the mountains. In Surama they are very focused on their Amerindian heritage.
Therefore the lodges are built in a traditional way with paintings showing the daily life of the native people. You can find there a lot of handcraft to admire but also to buy and jewelry made by women. In the lodge, everyone eats by one table which gives the place the atmosphere of togetherness. There are various activities offered to lodge visitors such as village walks, exploring the jungle, canoeing, and long river expeditions.
