Hostal Las Mercedes is a perfect choice for budget travelers and backpackers eager to visit one of the biggest cities in Colombia, famous because of the ‘Narcos’ series- Cali.
We had a pleasure to stay there for two nights and took a great rest before upcoming adventures. The hostel has a big common space with a huge table where all the guests share their meals. The kitchen is fully equipped and ready to prepare all the delicious food you wish for.
There is also a Netflix area with a big TV screen, comfortable couch and armchairs to enjoy your evenings if you don’t feel like going out.
Except for Netflix, there are also some board games to choose from, a billiard table and even some books to read.
If you don’t like preparing your breakfast- La Mercedes will help you with that too! They prepare delicious eggs and toasts served with juice and coffee!
The hostel is perfectly located and within the walking distance from many attractions of the city, yet the area is calm and quiet so don’t worry about the quality of your sleep.
What is very important, the hostel is very safe and the reception is open 24/7. Unlike many hostels in Colombia, where you can be sure that your stuff is taken care of well while you explore Cali.
