The Hacienda San Isidro was built from volcanic rocks and mud in the 18th century. Many prestigious families and political figures have been residing in this beautiful old building. The 10 bedrooms are individually designed and hold great charm. The hacienda is surrounded by organic farms, fruit trees, and picturesque landscapes. You can enjoy the beautiful view of the mountain range and the valley of Cotacachi at the same time.

The food is 100% organic and delicious. A huge garden with all kinds of vegetables and fruits is certainly a perfect base for a great home-cooked meal.
Your host at the hacienda, an elderly Ecuadorian couple have great knowledge of the history and culture of the region. There is a huge library with interesting books, partly dating back to the 18th century. You will even find a chapel, which is ideal for religious groups.
I recommend this place to everyone who wants to visit the city of Otavalo (about 8km away) or the lagoon Cotacachi (5km away). You will not be disappointed.
