After a long ride through the high mountains and an exhausting climb, we dreamed of a warm shower and a comfortable bed. We were not disappointed. Hotel Carretero welcomed us with all we needed including a hearty and nutritious dinner and the cozy spacious room perfect for charging our batteries before the upcoming adventures.
The top floor restaurant with windows overlooking the city’s panorama serves the most delicious food. We really enjoyed their fish and tasty soups. During lunchtime, there is an open salad bar. This surprise couldn’t make us happier as we crave our greens very much during this journey.
All the guests are free to use the hotel’s gym if they, like Ben, feel the need for a good workout. There is also a sauna to relax after exploring the beautiful city.
