The company does not own any lodging; it is a broker that receives percentage service fees from both guests and hosts in conjunction with every booking. In January 2018 the company had over 3,000,000 lodging listings in 65,000 cities and 191 countries.

Australia with 2,600 hosts has the most host farms and enterprises. While there are WWOOF hosts in 210 countries around the world, no central list or organization encompasses all WWOOF hosts. As there is no single international WWOOF membership, all recognized WWOOF country organizations strive to maintain similar standards and work together to promote the aims of WWOOF. As of 2016, 61 countries have a national WWOOF organization.8 of these are located in Africa, 12 in North and South America, 13 in Asia-Pacific, 26 in Europe, and 2 in the Middle East. Tripping is an online search engine and aggregator for vacation rentals.Tripping.com partners with and displays listings from booking websites including Booking.com, HomeAway, VRBO, FlipKey, Housetrip, Roomorama, Interhome, Novasol, Wimdu, ZenRentals, Bedycasa, WayToStay, Gloveler, HolidayVelvet, 9flats, AlwaysOnVacation, RedAwning, and Housetrip. Users can search by price, ratings, location and a long list of features and amenities.

ThirdHome is a worldwide luxury second home exchange service of vacation homes. Owners of luxury second homes apply online; if they meet certain requirements – location, characteristics of the house, home value – they become eligible for membership. Each owner lists which weeks his/her house will be available for the use of other members. When someone is staying at their house, the owner receives credits, called keys, used to reserve weeks at any property that is available on the system, or for stays in clubs and resorts affiliated with the company. GuestToGuest

The largest home exchange network with 270,000 residences listed in 187 countries. It is an example of the barter economy; there is generally no money exchanged between the host and the guest.

Helpx

An online platform that connects volunteers, who are looking for accommodations with hosts seeking help. Helpers assist with various tasks, projects, or activities as listed on the network. Volunteers generally commit to four or five hours of work, five days a week, in exchange for food and housing provided by the host. Arrangements may vary but are agreed upon by both parties in advance.

Intervac International

Intervac International is a hospitality service used to arrange home exchanges. It has over 30,000 members in 52 countries worldwide but is most popular in Europe, particularly Spain.

Homeowners can join for free. For all others, there is a 20 Dollars fee for using the service. Members can take care of other properties.

Luxury Housesitting

There is a 25 Dollars fee for using the service. Members can take care of luxury properties.
